Do you offer custom built cabins?
On occasion, we may be able to build cabins under 30m2 to order. This would be for hire or Hire to Buy only.
What about power, water and sewerage?
Power – All of our cabins have an electrical compliance certificate. We provide a 15-20 metre 16 Amp caravan electrical lead for connection to your existing power source.
Water – an exterior water inlet is connected with a hose to be provided by the hiree, from your existing onsite water supply.
Sewerage/Wastewater: Our cabins are equipped with a macerator pump. This means that waste can be pumped down a 25mm pipe into your existing onsite sewerage system. The gully trap can be 10 to 20m from the unit. Please note that any consenting is the responsibility of the hiree, and not of CabinHireCo.
Do I have to pay a bond?
Yes, 4 weeks bond is required for all our cabins. The bond amount will depend on the cabin you choose. The bond will be returned to you at the end of your tenancy, provided there are no damages or outstanding payments. For standard cabin hire 4 weeks bond is required prior to delivery of the cabin.
Is there a delivery fee?
Yes, there is a delivery fee associated with transporting the cabin to your site. The delivery fee will depend on the distance and location. Please contact us for more information and a detailed quote. This cost is passed on from the hiab company.
How often do I have to pay the hire costs?
Hire costs are to be paid on a weekly basis in advance. We offer the convenience of Automatic Payment for seamless transactions.
Do I need a permit for your units?
Our cabins are designed to be temporary and portable. The requirement for permits or consent varies among different councils. In some cases, cabin placements may not require consent or permit. However, we recommend checking with your local council for any specific regulations or requirements. It is the hirees responsibility to do so and to arrange any necessary consents.
How much space do I need to have my unit delivered?
We need an allowance of approximately 3.5m+ width for delivery of our units. Our free site assessment will determine this. The units are delivered on a hi-ab truck which allows us to place the unit into quite tight situations. The cabin site location must be relatively flat or must be levelled off by the hiree. Wooden blocks will also be provided to sit the cabin upon.
How does Hire to Buy/Rent to Own work?
The Hire to Buy/Rent to Own option allows you to purchase a cabin by making regular hire and interest payments over a specified period of time, generally 5 years.
